March Madness

….& an out of the woodwork blast from the past….

Bouncing Orb

Hi, welcome to March. I’m not sure where exactly February went, but here we are. For those of you in the know, thus begins shortly,  March Madness… I will no longer be able to compete with the television or the “bouncing orb”  no matter how scantily dressed I am as I prance through the living room like a cat in heat. *Sigh* The end is nearing….

In other news, I awoke this morning to a comment that had been posted to a past post here on Jaded Sunburns…maybe you remember this one

Well, the comment was made by the ex-love of my life, Brian. He lives in New Zealand and we met while he was here in the states going to school at my school as a foreign exchange student. We met in Medical Careers class senior year and were to be married a year after graduation…then life happened, and obviously we never were.
We’ve kept in touch over the years, but I’d not heard anything from him for about six months, until yesterday.
My heart still skips a beat when I hear from him. I am hopeless. (If you saw this guy, your heart would skip a few beats too. Anybody ever watch that old t.v. show, Highlander?…um, yea.) I had sent out an email to everyone yesterday announcing the wedding and the plans. That must be what prodded him to contact me again.  grin

Why he chose this past post to post a comment on, I’m not sure, if not only to remind me of some of the best dates I’ve had in my lifetime! Brat!
Watch out for those foreigners. They can be evil. Keep your daughters away from them as well. They lure us in with those damned accents and all!
Anyways, I thought I’d share his comment with ya’ll this morning.

“Perhaps you should share a warmer story. I’m sure you’ve had some great dates in your time, Maybe your “Medical Careers” class or a trip to a far off country. Perhaps a weekend at pinetop in the snow, or even just that warm feeling of fantastic times.
For those who may read this and have no idea what I am talking about, I have known Jade since she was 17 and let me just confirm for you that she is a beautiful, warm, loving woman, whose heart knows no bounds. I am so thrilled at your latest news, and so sorry that it has been so long between novels.”

After graduation, I flew to New Zealand and spent a great amount of time there with him. It was the best trip of my life so far. New Zealand is the most beautiful place and they have the cutest furry sheep there!  LOL (inside joke)
I wish I had some of the pictures from the trip with me right now so I could share them. I’ll have to crawl up into mom’s attick to find em and share em with ya’ll another day, but I will!
Anyhow, it was great to wake up this morning to a stale IM waiting in my task bar (sorry sweetie, I was long asleep by then!) and an email notification of his comment on my post.
We write each other “novels” email style to keep up on each other’s lives and families.  Yes, it’s been way too long between novels. I happen to agree.
However, right now, I think I am going to have to dissapear to be alone with my thoughts for a bit…did someone turn the heater on in here?
