Playing Random Catch Up
I had to do it. I didn’t want to. I fought it. I tried and tried for two days to fix things on my own, and as the way of the world in the life of Jade, I probably screwed things up even more the more I tried to fix it.
It was inevitable. I had to make that call.
He showed up promptly at the time scheduled. That’s one thing I love about these little guys is how propt they are! It’s not like the cable company where they show up sometime between 10am and 5pm, holding up your entire day. If the dispatcher tells you they will be at your home by 9:30 am, they are ringing your doorbell at 9:30 am. God bless the Geeks!
Yes, you guessed it, my computers decided to go kerplunk come Friday morning. The PC apparently hiccupped, causing the wireless network to fall off the face of the earth. While the PC was under the weather, the laptop worked perfectly (as usual) however, with no wireless network, there was no internet connection. On the flip side of that, the internet connection worked on the PC, but the PC was in a coma.
In great comic book fashion, the Geek Squad hero came running when I cried out in severe frustration! I was this close to tossing the computers into the swimming pool when suddenly comes a skinny little dude ready to save my sanity and the lives of two computers!
So, anyhow, that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it. That explains the unnatural silence that has come from my end of the world over the past three days or so.
BTP got her new blog design this morning! I am so excited about it for her. DAB or Design-A-Blog did a great job with the ideas that BTP wanted implimented for her new design, and for a blogspot design the price was perfect for my budget!
She hasn’t posted anything in over a month (because she hated the free design I’d put up there for her) so if you go to visit, just keep in mind that she’ll be posting today after school.
On top of all this fun we’ve had, my hubby had to stay home sick from work for the past two days. Yesterday was great, as he slept most of the day and wasn’t under foot. Today, however, is one day too many as I’ve a thousand things to do and a fourth child underfoot who doesn’t go to school at any point during the day. He’s decided that all of the normal rules of the house need not apply because he’s home and that the normal daily routines are annoying to him. I did put my foot down about the tv however. NO SPORTS! If you’re playing hooky from work, you can watch sports in the other room! Hopefully he’ll be well enough to go back to the office tomorrow!
