It’s A Write Off!
So, you wanna get lei’d Arizona style, do ya? There is only one way to make that happen! I want to see your best limerick! Yes folks, thats right. It’s up to you to post the best limerick right here in the comments section. You have two weeks! Each person is allowed to submit up to two limericks for the contest. You will have until March 11, 2006 at 12:00PM (MST) to get your submissions in. At that point the comments will be closed, submissions will no longer be accepted and our team of talented limerick judges will decide which entry deserves to get lei’d! They will also be choosing a runner up entry who will win a prize at the end of the judging! The winner and the runner up will be announced no later than March 13, 2006.
What is a limerick: “A light humorous, nonsensical, or bawdy verse of five anapestic lines usually with the rhyme scheme aabba.”
Contest Guidelines:
1) Your entry must be in limerick style. While, we’re not looking for perfection, it must follow the style of a traditional limerick.
2) Profanity is allowed within reason and good fun. The judges reserve the right to remove any limericks submitted that are disgustingly vulgar, flaming another blogger in poor taste, or otherwise deemed unworthy. Remember, this is supposed to be fun for all!
3) Your submission MUST be your own original work. I will find it on the internet if you did.
