Just Don’t Eat The Paint
After having so much fun tearing down the wallpaper in BTP’s room, sanding down the rough spots, and patching any holes, it’s finally time to paint! This morning we are going to head out to purchase the supplies and begin transforming her walls. She’s got a jungle theme going on in there, and if I know teenagers, that will change frequently as her tastes change. We decided to go with black paint on the bottom half of the walls and white paint on the top half of the walls. That way, no matter what she changes her decor accents to, her walls won’t have to be changed along with it. Unless of course she decides she’s a pastel kind of gal, which I really don’t see happening in the near future.
I’m not the best or neatest painter on the planet. I am going to end up looking like Cruella Deville by the time we get her whole room finished. That’s going to be worth a picture or two all on it’s own. I will be happy when we slap on that very last stroke of paint and are then done with the redecoration of her room. Major project #2 will be finished! Whoopdeedoo. Then I get to finally start on getting my craft room done. Yea, it’s been put off to finish different projects for everyone else, now it’s my turn and I’m not looking forward to cleaning out that room. I swear to you, a tornado has gone through that room and left behind a scary, scary mess.
I’ll have photos of the paint process because I know y’all dig that kind of thing. I will not disappoint! I make it my mission to keep y’all happy!
