Pina Coladas By The Pool
Or…Tequila Sunrises, rather since Rum and I don’t get along so well anymore. ‘Pina Coladas’ just sounded better for the title.
Anyhow, today is the day we leave for our rendezvous at the Pointe! Yes, you are correct. We were to leave yesterday, but my dear hubby pushed the trip back due to several reasons, one being the Blogathon that I wanted to be here to cheerlead for. Isn’t he fabulous?
In just a few short hours, I will be laying by the pool, sipping a colorful drink through a straw, browsing lazily through this months issue of STAR magazine while my children dizzy themselves on sky high water slides and surfin’ style wave pools. Ahhh. The last summer fling.
School starts for them in two weeks. That means the next couple of weeks will be full of physicals (for sports) school supplies, school clothes, hair cuts, orientations and practicing getting to bed at the predetermined ‘school night’ bed times. I love this time of year! It is most important for mom to be properly pampered in preparation of this next two weeks to ensure my mind is working at 100% capacity (yes it is possible, thnkx) in order to make sure all things go smoothly for each child as we embark upon a new school year. Preparation is a big chunk of a successful outcome, you know. A couple of tequila sunrises doesn’t hurt either….
Upon returning home, tanned and rested, I shall get around to do some major blog reading, ‘chat room’ visiting, blog redesigning, email answering and generally wreaking havoc upon the blogsphere once again. OH! Don’t forget the fact that come Wednesday, a handful of us ‘Zonie bloggers are going to have the honor of meeting the beautiful Tutu (Ma) from Tutu Bent’s Hale as she travels through our hellish state on her way to Texas. I am so excited!!
We return from the Pointe on Tuesday, at which time I should have photos to post for y’all! I’ve never been to this particular Pointe, so I am excited to see what a $6 million make over looks like! It’s beginning to look as though it’s going to rain outside right now and I am only telling you this because it’s pissing me off! Say a little prayer that it doesn’t rain, won’t you? I don’t mind the cloud cover, keeps the 3 digit temperatures away, but rain isn’t so good for water park fun…..*sigh*. This damned state. When you’re praying for rain because the state is going to shrivel up and die, the rains won’t come. As soon as you have an event planned that takes full advantage of the sun and fun, there come those rain clouds. Pfft. Be gone with ye!
I got a little side tracked there, didn’t I? Where was I? Oh, yes. Tuesday. Pictures. Blog reading. Yadda yadda. That’s right. So, anyhow, I hope that everyone has a fabulous Monday and all you blogathoners are catching up on your sleep! 3T, talk to OhGirl (whom I am soooo proud of!) about Wednesday and I will call you Tuesday when we get home. Fab? Good.
