3rd Annual Bomb Diggity Halloween Jamboree

The costume party was a fantastic time! We arrived early and began doing shots right off the bat. Wow. Good thing there was food everywhere because I kept eating the entire night it seemed. It kept me from getting ill with as many shots we were doing. The costumes were ok this year. Last year there was a lot more people and more creative and fantastic costumes. The costumes this year seemed rather meh – as if not much thought was put into them at all. Chris, Katie and Jeremy’s mother looked fantastic in her Moroccan robes and jewelry and my MIL and Ray looked great in their Hawaiian attire! Uncle Jerry showed up as Kid Rock. I nearly didn’t recognize him when he got there.
We drank a bit and ate a lot, laughed a great deal and had a good time visiting with Katie and Jeremy. It’s unfortunate that we don’t see them more often. We are planning a BBQ with them to be carried out in the very near future!
We hung out at the party until very late, probably around 1:15 am or so. Mostly because we didn’t want to drive home just yet. We had no kids, so there was no curfew for us and we were able to take all the time we needed to sober up before heading home. Hubsend played DD and after his initial couple of shots and two beer minimum, he’d quit drinking way early on. I, of course, had to carry on and didn’t quit until somewhere around 11pm. Even though I’m not hungover today, I am tired from being up so late and then up rather early this morning. It’s going to be nice to finally get to go to bed tonight, I’m telling ya!
At the party, they had a costume contest, and Hubsend and I won by a landslide, for best costume. We went in a couples costume – he was the plug and I was the socket. It was a real cute costume I’d seen on line at one of the costume stores near us. He wasn’t really excited about it at first, but after it won him a trophy, he was very happy with his costume choice.
If you want to see more pictures of the costume party, you can check them out on my flickr.

What a great idea. Glad you won.
Now that is the best costume I have seen in years! Kudos!
