That was always one of my favorite books growing up. I read that book until the pages were falling out! Funny, the things that come to our mind throughout our adult lives from our childhood.
That’s how I have felt this past week. Busy. Every single day. This weekend isn’t going to be any different. It almost seems that the warmer the weather gets, the busier I get. Good thing I got my new Blackjack II (Wine colored of course) to keep me connected when I am on the go! omg, I think I am in love with this thing. For real. I get my email, texts, can surf the web, watch videos, even catch up on Desperate Housewives since I’ve been missing so many episodes lately. Wow. It keeps me from having to be tied down to my computer, which is awesome since I haven’t had much time to be. Poor little lap top is feeling a little ignored here lately.
This past week, I also got my new deck installed in my car. It’s awesome. Completely tech nerded out, with bluetooth capabilities, ipod hook up, USB port to charge my personal devices while on the road - and it sounds bitchin’! No more grandma bumps for Meela! Woot! Damn thing even came with a remote control, and a cute little velvet pouch to keep the face plate in when I remove it from the car. The remote thing cracks me up because my car is so little it’s like, who the hell needs a remote unless you’re in the back seat, in which case you won’t be working my stereo from there anyhow.
Whatev.
Spoiled much? Yeah, maybe so, but I do love me some techie toys! On twitter the other day, Mamacita says
“ I can’t go anywhere without great quantities of personal electronics at my fingertips. When did this happen?”
I have to ask myself that same question. Yet I hive at the thought of ever having to go somewhere without any of my personal electronics. BTP, my teenage daughter, laughs at me all of the time, telling me that I am more like a snotty Scottsdale mom thats living in the wrong part of town with all of my high tech gadgets I carry around with me. Displaced Snottsdale mom, hu. Not the image I would choose to portray if given the choice. I much prefer thinking I’m more like a teenager.
Here soon I will be off to shoot “C“‘s tee ball game, then off to make an appearance at Hubsend’s cousin Jeromy’s graduation party. After that BTP and I are heading to the mall to get our ears pierced again. Her, three more holes, me one more hole. After that I am determined to get my house cleaned up and my laundry done so that I don’t have to do any type of Motherly work on Mother’s Day. I plan to sit by the pool sipping Pina Coladas.
To all of you Mothers out there: I hope you get sufficiently spoiled this weekend!
