“Yes, sir, your account is over $400 in the negative.”

“I am going to kick your ass!”

That was one of the first phone calls I answered yesterday. Great, right? It was definitely idiot day at the credit union. Every stupid fuck that is a member crawled out of the wood work and called me. Lucky me! I think, though, this was the first time I’d ever had someone threaten to kick my ass! bwahahahaha. Stupid ass. Maybe, just maybe if you could keep your account out of the negative, your shit wouldn’t get returned and you just might not get nasty letters from collectors, just sayin’.

Looking at me from the other side of the counter while a co-worker stopped what she was previously doing in order to start working up his pompous ass for a loan RIGHTTHEFUCKNOW.

“Don’t you have anything to do?!”

Um. No, I just sit here and take up space, k?

What the hell? It was like that all day yesterday. Every other phone call was an asshole, every other member who walked through the door thought that we would just open up the vault and allow them to have as much money as they needed, and we were the assholes because there are policies that need to be followed for most requests and the rest of them simply got a big fat HELL NO!  People are fucking idiots.

Today is going to be a better day. I have a better attitude today, too, and even though I’m still on strike and making a point to the family unit that I am not their personal maid, I feel as though I can bounce through today with nary a care! Guess what’s for dinner tonight?  TV dinners, that’s what! Ha. I don’t have to cook! Neener, neener, neener. pffffft.  I told my family that if they wanted to pay me hourly wages and give me a paycheck once a week like any other hourly employee, I would be glad to be their personal maid and as soon as I get a weeks worth of pay upfront to prove sincerity I will get to work.

I have not seen that paycheck yet, but, it is a couple of days until Friday, so there may be hope still.

No matter what, it’s Wednesday - Hump Day (how can any day that is referred to as ‘hump day’ be a bad day, eh?) - and it’s going to be better!
